Bread Masala with egg podimas

Bread masala is a good breakfast. This suits well for office going ladies and bachelor's. If you have bread onion and tomato thats all, breakfast is ready. Hardly 5 mins to cook and 2 mins to chop onion and tomato and 3 mins to have it. So in 10 mins breakfast is over. I know it sounds good and it also tastes good.

If you have 5 more mins do egg podiums and mix with it as i shown in the below recipe. I use wheat bread to make it more healthy. This is one of my easy making morning dish to my husband when i get up late, happens some times....

Ingredients:

Bread - 5 sliced
Onion - 1 chopped
Tomato - 1 chopped
Egg - 1 beaten
Oil as required
Mustard and urud dhal - 1 tsp
Sambar powder - 1 tsp
Salt as required
Chopped coriander leaves

Method:

1) Heat a pan with 2 or 3 tsp of oil and allow mustard and urd dhal to splatter.

2) Add chopped onions, sauté until glassy and then add tomato, sambar powder and salt. Cook for 1 min.

3) Once mixed well add beaten egg and make podimas (stir and toss continuously ).  Put the heat to sim and cook for 2 mins.

4) Now add sliced bread pieces and mix gently.

5) Sprinkle some water if needed. The masala and egg should mix well with added bread.

6) Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.

Note:

1) Cut down the sides of bread if you do not like. But i used it as such without cutting the sides.

2) Instead of chili powder you can also use freshly ground pepper powder.

3) Sprinkling water gives extra moisture to the bread and mixes up with masala easily.
